The purpose of MOVR is to represent and preserve the heritage of vintage racing in a competitive and safe atmosphere while having fun and fellowship as a club.
Car Requirements
A.  Body must be 1970 or older.
B.  8 cylinder cars must weigh 2800 lbs (with driver) after race.
C.  6 cylinder cars must weigh 2600 lbs (with driver) after race.
D.  103 inch wheel base or longer.
E.  No wings or spoilers over 8 inches.

Engine Requirements
A.  360 cubic inch displacement or less
B.  Flat top pistons ONLY!!
C.  Flat tappet cams (solid mechanical or hydraulic)
D.  Cylinder heads must be 64cc or bigger (All OEM heads are legal)
E.  Gasoline only.  No Additives or Alcohol.


Transmission Requirements
A.  Must have two forward gears and reverse.  Car must move both directions under  own power.
B.  Must have a scatter shield or a steel bell housing.
C.  Transmission must be OEM or approved by MOVR club members.



Safety
A.  All cars will be inspected for safety issues.
B.  Must agree to any track inspections that may arise.

Points Race
A.  Points accumulated will stay with the car. 
B.  Track scales will be used to determine actual weight.  Top 3 feature winners must weigh at the end of the feature race.  Any car not meeting weight requirements will be scored in last position regardless of actual finish placement.  No feature trophies will be awarded to cars not meeting weight requirements. 
C.  After 3 feature wins, the driver must start in the back of all heat and feature races for the remainder of the season.
D.  Points and trophies will only be awarded to MOVR club members.

Sportsmanship
A.  All members must agree to be team players at all times.  Public displays of temper or poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated.  Any members violating this rule may lose all points for that night's race.
B.  At all of the MOVR races, we are a guest of the track!  If you have a problem or complaint with anything pertaining to our races at any track, MOVR members are not to complain to track officials or management but need to discuss your concerns with an MOVR official.  It is encouraged to discuss concerns at a time other than while at the racetrack in order to promote a positive image of MOVR and its members.  Any members violating this rule may lose all points for that night's race.
C.  At any time an MOVR official may inspect any member's car or engine for legality and safety.
D.  Any member found not following any of the club rules may lose their points for the night, the season, or as otherwise determined by the club.
E.  When a violation of the rules is suspected causing any member to be in danger of losing their points, a committee will be formed to review the suspected infraction and decide on appropriate action up to and including loss of all points for the season.  The committee will be made up of the top 5 points leaders at the time the suspected infraction is brought to the president's attention.  If one of the top 5 points leaders is the one in question, the #6 points leader will be asked to be on the committee instead.
